What a wonderful year 2017 has been. It's been a year of incredible self growth for me as a person and as a professional.

As I sit here writing this, I cannot help but be excited about what 2018 will bring.  In 2018, I can really market my boutique business. I can focus on making women feel more beautiful by functioning as their personal stylist. And hopefully, just hopefully, I can add a little more fun and laughter to your lives.

Tonight, I'm starting this journey by summarizing 2018 Fashion Trends. That way you and I can keep track of trends and together decide what my boutique will look like and how it will service all of you best.

Thank you to all my loyal customers and supporters for 2017. Let's kick off 2018 and make it amazing!

1. Embellished Denim and just about any other pant embellished

Let's face it, as women we always want to look cute but we also want to be comfortable, look pretty and be able to do a karate kick at a moments notice. THIS is the reason denim is a favorite for us. This year in fashion, you will see more of your pants "bedazzled" and "embellished". I say BRING IT ON. I love it when my pants sparkle, are colorful and comfortable.

You're already seeing more embellishments in the boutique with the embroidered leggings released a couple of weeks ago! Be on the lookout for even more beauties.

2. Logos everywhere

Do you remember the 80s when everything had to have a brand name to be worth ANYTHING? Well, it's back. The bigger the logo, the better the fashion! This year, see shoes with more brand logos, shirts with logos and even socks with logos. What's different than in the 80s? The logos will be even bigger and might I say more obnoxious.? Ha!

3. Vinyl/Pleather/Waxy/Shiny

If it sparkles, it's IN for 2018. If it shines, put it on and let your booty do the talking! And if it has sequins, make sure you're prepared to let people touch because sparkles and fun is no longer just for New Year's Eve parties. This year, you will see shiny things come out during the day. So rock it ladies!

4. The color of 2018 is....PURPLE

Officially the color of 2018 is Ultra Violet purple. Now, if you're like me, you are not going to wear too much UV Purple, but I can certainly do lavender and some plum here and there.

5. Colorful Boots

Gone are the days when boots are just brown and black. In 2018, we will start to see more colorful boots. And boots are no longer just for fall and winter. Open toe booties and sandal type booties, with fun colors will be all the rage. How exciting is this? I can't wait to get a new pair of open toe booties to wear with some jeggings which will be restocked in my boutique soon!

6. Bell Sleeves

Bell Sleeves are the style for dresses and tops in 2018. Fluttery sleeves give shirts and dresses an awesome feminine flair. Wear them ladies! I have been picking up new styles already this year. The Walker dress from 2017 inspired me so be looking for more in 2018.

7. Small sunglasses and BIG Jewelry

Small sunglasses and big jewelry are a trend from the 90s, think Janet Jackson style. Yep, it's coming back in 2018. Have fun picking out some new pieces for your clothing styles ladies.

8. Crazy Fun Suits

This Christmas season showed us that men will wear any sort of crazy Christmas suit for fun, and there will be no shortage of fun suits in 2018. Think British style in the 80s. Mix match plaids, crazy colors, paired with stripes and other patterns. Suits are getting a makeover next year and let it be fun!

9. Plaid

Plaid makes a huge comeback in 2018. Part of this is thanks to Joanna Gaines and her huge design success on HGTV, but those buffalo plaids are leaving your home and making a splash in your wardrobe in 2018. You won't see crazy plaids. It'll be classic, 2 and 3 color plaids.

10. Comfy, oversized tops and jackets

2018 fashion will be about making a big statement, but it also will be about staying comfortable. Oversized tops and jackets/sweaters will be playing a huge part in this next year. The boutique already started carrying a "boyfriend" cardigan, an oversized sweater and oversized t shirts. Be on the lookout for more that you can scoop up and be completely on point!
